Technically perfect. As always on U2 releases. AIWIY feels like a wasted snippet when they put it on the album on its own. Me being picky. Stay is still the standout for me.

Yeah but AIWIY wasn't played live at that point and it was a genuine moment for the band because in Rome they had the ONE sign on the stadium by the fans for I Still Haven't Found and the band sound geniunely excited and surprised for Bad which was right after. I remember loving the video of it because they have the look of "OKAY, THIS AUDIENCE DID A HELL OF A THING PLANNING THIS SURPRISE, LET'S DO AN INCREDIBLE VERSION OF BAD" ahaha that's my interpretation anyway
  3. Bad from Rome:
I was there and that was MY BEST moment out of the 11 shows
on the 360 tour and one of the best u2 concerts out of my 29 shows since 1992.
I was right in the middle behind the stage in the lower seat section and it was GREAT!!!
Since that day i listen and watch that version many, many times!

For me it was also the highlight of the tour (from the 5 shows I've seen), it was just a magical performance!
  5. It was unquestionably the best performance of Bad on the 360 tour, but I would just like to give a shout out to the Buenos Aires performance. Very, very good.
  6. To me the standouts are still the songs that were surprises on this tour. Unforgettable Fire, Zooropa, Ultraviolet, Out Of Control (not as much of a surprise, but I'll never get tired of hearing Bono say "we're a band from Dublin, Ireland, we're called U2, this is our first single, we hope you like it"), The Fly, Real Thing, One Tree Hill, and so on (basically I love them all). As much as I think the trumpet playing on Still Haven't Found is cool (don't let this open up another discussion) I would've LOVED to have gotten the performance when they did The Wanderer right after. Would've been almost too much

Freestyling? Have you seen the video? Bono pushes them more and more because he doesn't want the song to end that early, I think it wasn't much rehearsed - if at all. Edge didn't even expect the AIWIY snippet, and took some time to accomodate the guitar riff.

For me and in my humble opinion, it's one the best Bad's since 1993.
  8. Sounds good there and I applauded it at the time as being better than the other efforts on the tour. Im just not feeling it on U22. Not feeling much from it in fact. I just don't like the sound. Bono is echoey and Larry isn't there. One to stick on the phone for a casual blast.

I do expect to be in the minority so please nobody feel the need to counter argue. Roll on some new material.
  9. Bono was on vocal fire when he sang Bad in Amsterdam. The wide-awakes sounded more than the Bono of twenty years ago than the Bono from twenty years ago... judging on the quite poor recordings. I would've loved getting that in SBD... Rome had a fantastic audience recording already.

ahh I see, that's how I feel about some other artsits boots and releases ahha but not this for me xD

  11. I totally agree. I really wish there were a high quality version out there because The First Time "snippet" (I use quote because it's essentially the song in its entirety) is magical. Bono's vocals are spot on and Edge's additions are amazing.

However, I have to disagree with the Elevation tour versions feeling dead. Bad/40 and Bad/WGRYWH were equally magical.

Yeah, that Nashville show was a great one. My favorite of the 2011 shows I went to. Baltimore was great, Miami was greater, and Nashville was epic. Great memories!
