1. Just rip the audio?
  2. +1
  3. Oh, I did that along time ago ( or someone else did, I can't quite recall) but I have been told that the audio from the U2.com releases ( e.g., Sydney, Slane, Hasta la Vista Baby) is even better than a DVD rip.
  4. yeah U22, and a lot of the CD releases of DVD's are mixed better than a straight DVD audio rip. I don't know the logistics but that's what I keep hearing.
  5. Hasta La Vista is better than the Mexico DVD for sure.
  6. I had to increase the volume on my Rose Bowl audio rips in order to make them comparable to (but still not as good as) the U22 tracks.

  7. Good to know as I'd like to include a few Pop tracks in my (eventual) mix.
  8. A CD is lossless... A DVD is not. Also... For DVDs they make numerous mixes.

Yeah I had the same deal with Rose Bowl.

But the Chicago audio rips are actually quite good in terms of quality. If one wanted to be picky, I guess the drum reverb could be dropped a little, but otherwise I would say that the Chicago rips are comparable to U22 quality.
  10. going back to the Streets being weak topic, I think it sounds good @___@ LOL not amazing, or "as heavy" as past tours, but yeah they shoulda gone with a 2010 or 2011 version.
  11. Streets always sounds "good."

But when you have so many superb performances, even a "good" performance seems weak.
  12. Exactly.
