like you can see the tracklist was ready since time .. they already recorded the cds

That ain't a physical thing, it's computer designed. I don't think they had recorded the CDs already.

It looks SWEET though, makes me crave to have one...
  2. i was clearly kidding
  3. ok. The booklet design looks fantastic anyway

  4. You gotta love how everybody takes this serious
  5. Psh....of course, now they make the gift worthwhile....well, at least it LOOKS worthwhile. My U2 Go Home shirt and CD look like shit. Same with duals.

    This is serious business. $50-serious.
  7. I like how people are looking as if they are paying $50 for this CD.

If I recall, being a paid subscriber to U2.com has some other benefits too.

    ...
But still, $50 for the U22 sounds pretty darn good considering what's going to be on it.
  8. I can't say that I am that interested in the other benefits.

    Give me the goods.

I have to say that I agree with you, even if I want a decent tracklist with "official" live audio, but what really worries me is the fact that U2 could have been manipulating the results to put some songs they want and/or take some future actions based on the results of this voting, like keep playing mostly new songs in a future tour, or stop playing rarities. Hope I'm wrong though.

  10. I must say I'm really impressed with the design of the booklet and the way it is presented Gimme gimme gimme!!! Hoping it doesn't take 6 months for people to receive it

To me, it depends on how much you really like the songs and how much you really like the packaging.

While it is true that most of the songs can be found on great bootlegs, the songs selected will get that "official release" treatment. For songs like One Tree Hill, this means a great official version will be released. The bootlegs with One Tree Hill aren't bad, but they certainly aren't of the same quality as Wide Awake In Europe.

Also, it's $50 for an annual membership, meaning the possibility (however small) of other material given exclusively to paid members.
