  2. I'm overall happy with the final list. Sure, getting to vote for North Star, and some other rare tracks would've been great. I guess my biggest complaint would be no Breathe. I have to accept that the casual fan did not get into it, and a good portion of the hardcore didn't like it as an opener. Of course, the fact that they actually released something without I'll Go Crazy is huge for me, as a few million on here have reminded me that I don't like that track. As a Pop fanatic, I just thought it was too much like a Pop song, when any number of Pop songs would've been better. Still, the casual fan would run for the exits if Mofo was played. Since we got to vote, at least U2.com is sort of paying attention. Now if they would just get around to that UberSoober Deluxe version of Rattle And Hum with the 15 cds and 10 dvds, I'd really be happy.
  3. the exact word is...Disappointment
The same songs...there are many IEMS or sounboard versions of the most of tracks included in this album....maybe "One tree hill" is the exception. "No line" is out....
    A sorrow

Just what I was waiting for!!!
  6. Sourpusses! I'm SUPER happy with that tracklisting! Weird running order, but who cares! It'll be an awesome compilation for sure!

EDIT: Just read under the list "tracks are now being sequenced". Good!

"the constant repetitive chorus on these songs is so bloody annoying" - you've picked the wrong band mate. That happens in a lot of U2 songs, not just those songs. Even then, it's actually not a bad thing at all.

Frankily, your comment is ridiculous. This is WAY better than Duals and all the other gash that we've received from U2.com. For once, us fans got to choose the listing and it's a really good listing. Think about it, how lucky we are to be getting soundboard recordings of Zooropa, Love Rescue Me, One Tree Hill etc. Why complain?

Like Willy Wonka, the man himself would say:

From a band who told us that they had 3 albums ready to release in 2009 ,and were promoting AB on the last tour like it was a new album, is beyond ridiculous .Yeah the list is good ,however U2 are trading on past glories now ,with all the the hype over AB delux, super, uber, milking the fans for every last penny,Why no new release ?are they afraid of fucking up after the dismal NOLOTH ,I dont like this ,"Lets Just throw out all are old stuff approach" and repackage it to keep people happy, which they have done on 7 albums,.Bono is always going on about not looking back and concentrating on the future, maybe he should heed his own advice.

Hold on, but you just said it was a "very disappointing list", which basically translates into you saying it's a crap list. Now you're saying it's good?

A new release (as in a new album) is pretty much left for another discussion, but I'm going to answer your question anyway. Yeah, they should have had another album out since 2010, but remember, Bono's back put everything back, then subsequently delayed the tour, which only finished 6 months ago. U2 are a band that feel if they release an album, they have to tour. If we expect an album late this year, early next year; we'll expect an arena tour pretty much soon after. They will want that album to be perfect, like they always have done before. We can't compare back to the 80's because there was tremendous pressure from record companies to get albums out. Now that U2 are (one of) the biggest band(s) in the world, they can do whatever they want. No one will force them to release an album, they'll do it when they want. Remember, they have families and everything too. They are also getting old - a 2 year tour is bound to exhaust you. They didn't fuck up NLOTH at all. Did you only listen to it once and then throw it in drawer ready for it to be covered in dust sometime later? It grew on everybody, it just didn't have that hit single: that was probably the issue with NLOTH. It should have done better in charts, but it was a good album. In my opinion, it's better than HTDAAB and ATYCLB - therefore making it the best U2 album of the noughties.

To be honest, it sounds entirely like you are bashing your apparent favourite band in quite a cruel way. It sounds like you've just came onto this forum as some hardcore indie fan who hates proper rock music, then said that U2 are failing. Just enjoy what we have already for christ sake. Most bands don't even make it past 35 years, nevermind 20.
  9. Whoa, they put Beautiful Day from Zagreb!
