  1. Later in the tour, when U2 opened with 'even better than the real thing', the intro song was something different for a couple of shows.

    A tune from the 60/70s maybe, any ideas????

  8. Maybe you remember something "a bit James Bond like" because of the effect they used on the screens. Check out this video at 1:20:



    The song is David Bowie's Space Oddity, though.

    April13, 2011 Sao Paulo.
    'Extraordinary but little known fact of the night: the song playing before Space Oddity, ahead of the band's arrival on stage, was Telstar by The Tornados, whose rhythm guitarist was one George Bellamy, father of Matt of Muse, whose band played another fine set earlier in the evening.'


    Thats the song I was after, Telstar by the Tornados. You were right, it was the song before Space Oddity.

  12. on a side note, i forgot how good Even Better was at its live debut most songs don't sound that good when first played live (etc, UC, Wild Horses, Batman)
