  4. I'm really sorry guys - I'm a doofus!

    I completely got my weeks mixed up and thought the deadline for review was this coming Sunday, not yesterday. I think I'll blame it on lack of sleep due to my 1 year old waking almost every hour due to teething!

    Anyway, here's my review:

    Performance - 3 stars

    The end of the tour and it realy shows. Bono's voice is extremely strained and the whole performance is under-par. However, I do think the strained voice lends itself to a couple of songs quite well. I do like Staring At The Sun and Discotheque and I think it's a decent performance of Last Night On Earth. The Seemingly Edge and Bono only version of "40" is outstanding. I've never heard them play it like that before and I think it's lovely.

    Audience - 4 stars

    Obviously up for a U2 gig, as any audience would be.

    Sound - 4.5 stars

    I listened to 2 different recordings of this boot, the FLAC that was originally on the show page and the mp3 recording placed on the BRT thread. I had problems with both, even though both were soundboard recordings. During the FLAC one I found there was a bit of skipping during UTEOTW and ISHFWILF and with the mp3 recording, I felt the quality came and went and wasn't consistent enough. Therefore I've given less than a 5 star.

    Overall - 3 stars

    Not a boot I would recommend to anyone looking for a really good Popmart performance, but downloadable for the performance of "40" none the less.

    Highlights: Discotheque, Last Night On Earth, Staring At The Sun and "40".

    Lowlights: Bono's strained voice and tired performance.

    No problem Nick, family takes priority over this Your review is very much in line with mine, disappointing effort overall, Bono's voice wasn't there at all really.

  12. Once again, I'm in and receiving the messages, just finding myself with a lack of motivation to actually listen to the show. I've honestly heard the majority of ones we've already done so once something catches my eye I'll get off my lazy ass and download the show.

    Just wanted everyone here to know not only am I still alive to this thread, but also reading your reviews and enjoying the fact that you guys are enjoying yourselves
