  5. Zurich, what a nice place. Well, Switzerland in general, what a nice place. And so fucking expensive that I couldn't even think of taking my wallet out...

Switzerland is maybe the most beautiful country in Europe. Driving through it makes you not being able to watch away.
  8. Thank god from Utrecht it will be German and Suiss service Those ICE trains look already 100 times better than that butt ugly atrocity the NS bought.

No, it's not only inflation. Culture prices have gone up at a rate that's maybe 4 or 5 times the inflation rate. Paying $200 for a officially-bought seat at a concert is ignominious and disgraceful.

Okay, maybe not pure inflation but is an important factor towards it but yes, culture prices have also increased.

Sometimes I take the German train to Berlin-Potsdam when I go to school, those have great seats and seem to be a lot more silent...
  11. I watched a TV programme recently called "Great Continental Railways Journeys" and one of the routes was through Switzerland. It really does look like a great place to visit.

The final episode was a journey from Amsterdam to Compiègne, via The Hague, Brussels, Mons, Albert and Amiens. Not much time was spent in Amsterdam though. The presenter started in the Amsterdam Centraal and spoke to a manager about how it was constructed on the location it sits before taking a boat down the canal (under some crazy low bridges) to the Royal Asscher Diamond Company to talk with someone about the Cullinan diamond. Upon leaving Amsterdam, he eats raw herring on the train

Anyway, Switzerland looked amazing. Particularly the ride to the Jungfraujoch station, 11,000 feet above sea level.
