Well, I'm just getting into American football, because we have a channel that shows some now. Never really watched baseball, doesn't feel like something that'd be that great to watch. In Sweden we often play a casual game with some similarities in the summer.

What position you play? I'm an infield kind of guy.

I play catcher and pitcher. Also 3rd from time to time. What do you play?

Like I said, any infield position, although I hate playing first since I had the misfortune of playing it, with teammates I had never played with before. How easy that position is, is 90% based around how well you know the tendency's of your teammates. I like short the most since it tends to be busy.

Yeah i've never liked first. It really is to easy, mostly based on how good or bad the rest of your infield is, but if your good at it it definitely helps the team. Short is actually the only position i've never played at some point, i'm not a fast enough guy for that. I have little range when it comes to infield lol Luckily I won't have to play it anytime soon! I don't think that'd go to wellYou play high school, college...?

Didn't discover baseball till late in life, so no in high school, and the college I'm at don't have a team. Just playing with my buddies, and were considering trying out for local teams come springtime.
Also you don't really have to be that fast to play short. Just have good reflexes, and get a good read on the ball. My two favorite active MLB shortstops are J.J. Hardy, and Troy Tulowitzki, and neither of them are that fast(I don't think either has ever gotten more than two stolen bases in a season), but both are great defensively. Getting a good initial read on the ball is the most important thing.

Ah alright sounds funand it's less a speed thing more just fielding range, thats why I play third. I can field really well I just can't cover the kind of ground that a SS (at least on the teams i've played on) has to cover. Luckily I catch, which I love so it's all good
and my favorite SS will still always be Omar Vizquel, him and Jim Thome are me two favorite players of all time by far. I grew up in Cleveland so that makes sense haha

Vizquel and Thome are both great. I had the misfortune of the Tigers (my fav team) not really having any good players when I was growing up. Course now, they have some real talent on that team. Verlander is possibly the best starting pitcher on any team around, and Cabrera, is easily one of the top 5 or so best hitters in the game today.

I actually grew up right after they both had left (born in 1997, so I really started noticing the Indians in probably 2000), but when I was a kid I had the Indians 1995 Highlights on VHS so that got me into them. They were just so good back then... and nowBut were turning it around! and the Tigers have been very good the past few years, wouldn't be surprised if they got to the World Series this coming season.
