I haven't slept

I just got late lunch with my parents at a chinese restaurant, good chinese food is the best option when you're too tired and wasted to cook at home

Just won that bad-boy of a Foo Fighters poster off eBay. Cost me a pretty penny, which is a horrible thing- but I've never wanted it so badly in my life.

Story goes like this- I won two tickets off radio to see their semi-private club show in Chicago during the weekend of Lollapalooza. Ended up second row in a club that holds 1100 people. Caught Taylor's drumstick, had hands on Dave's guitar, etc. The poster printed for the gig is GIVEN OUT FOR FREE. There will be 800 pressed, 1100 at the gig. You do the math....300 people aren't getting a poster.

We're basically shoving ourselves out of the club after "Everlong", along with hundreds of others, and I've been in the club many many times before so I'm navigating well through the masses to get to the shop in the lobby. We get in there in the top half of the crowd- and posters are gone.

Out in the street, people are waving multiple posters around selling them already. This is bullshit. I try to talk a guy into giving me and my friend one, but he ignores me, so finally I curse him off and leave. I get on the internet the next few days and find out that the silk-screen press had broken about 75% of the way through production, so not even 800 got printed. On top of that, the staff of the Metro (club) could be seen packing posters flat into boxes and carrying them behind closed doors of the shop. Either taking them for themselves, or gearing up to sell them years down the road at exorbitant prices.

So I found this guy on eBay, trying to sell his for 150 dollars. Sent him a nice little message with an offer that said "Look man, I was there that night and I didn't receive a poster. I know they were free, and I know that if you're selling that thing then you've got more than one. I respect the fact that you want to make a LITTLE bit of money off of something so rare, but I'm not paying you 150 for it. My offer is ___, I hope that we can work out a deal. You'd make me very happy."
