    I am reading some scientific articles and the word 'fifty-odd' was in one of them. I know it means approximately fifty, but could it mean 49 too or is only for numbers above fifty?

    Internet wasn't very helpful...

  8. Hmm maybe we should, but fact is that we have >50k members but only a handful on the forums. Maybe put a list of 'forum' users birthdays on top?

    That said it probably wont be high on our todo list.

    Saying fifty-odd is just an estimate. Normally it would suggest 50 or slightly more but the nature of estimates mean it may also be slightly less.
