1. How are things in Michigan, Aaron? You guys getting a lot of snow this week?

I haven't looked outside in a little while but I guess where I'm at it's gonna get pretty bad tonight (north-central Indiana)
  2. On another note - man I love the low-key versions of Staring at the Sun tacked onto Discotheque during the Elevation tour. So trippy and fun.

Calgary night 1 had a great crowd singalong on it, listening to the boot now.
  3. Finally started clearing up a little bit. Feel like I can step outside, without a full survival suit.

But, hey. At least neither of us got it as bad as those poor basterds in Minnesota.
  4. Yeah no kidding. Have a good friend that lives there, but I guess you get used to it. Those days that dropped to -40 or so once the windchill got factored in were such a bitch, though. That was back in December.

    I'm ready for spring.

    I'm ready for spring.

I've been ready for spring for months. Baseball, biking, and I find I get along with women better when its warmer out (cold weather makes me really snarky).
  6. Winter does seem to be the season that everyone is just pissed off for.
  7. Granted, my lack of effort with women I like, comes largely from the fact, that I have a phobia of love. Just recently realized it, and it explains a lot.
  8. Yeah I've realized over the last year that I really don't like the idea of commitment even once I get really comfortable with someone. It's a curse from my last (and only) serious relationship
  9. I'm pretty content as an asexual individual. Just sucks, because I tend to like women I trust alot(and I don't trust many), and find myself unable to talk to them, because of fear over where it will go.
  10. Finally decided I would start a bit of a music blog btw. Nothing hardcore or super official, but I used to write music reviews for our paper and I miss it a lot. This will be a lot more narrative-style than just reviews (plus Kieran is the boarder that has that market cornered, anyway), but the first post does happen to be about U2 so what the hell. Here's the URL.

  11. Nice. I'm an admin on a baseball related Facebook page, so, I can respect something like a music blog.
  12. Great first post, Matt. It could easy relate to any music fan and that's what you want. Your posts that I've read in the past have been great - very well written, coherent and straight to the point. I'd like to see you do a few reviews too
Thanks for the mention of mine: I do it because I want to get somewhere and it is a portfolio for me. Hopefully it improves my writing until when I finish uni and I get a music journalism job out of it. Music journalism is notoriously difficult to get into but it is worth trying my hardest to get into. For those interested in viewing my blog, it is thereviewal.wordpress.com.
