In fact it sounds like Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses played by Oasis or something.

I'm currently listening to Temples' new album on vinyl that I bought today while gearing up for seeing Phoenix tonight at the legendary Barrowlands in Glasgow. Decent night ahead.

We are Phoenix from Paris Fraaaaaaaaaaaance
  3. I did. Held Thomas Mars up while he crowd surfed.
  4. Phoenix are playing a couple of festivals this summer but I couldn't be arsed, I don't like them that much. They got a good few great songs though
  5. I might be saying that come tonight, depends whether I feel like going near the front or not. It still isn't sold out too which is strange. I'm seeing them in the summer in Poland too.

I saw Foals last night alongside Cage the Elephant, the latter being utterly fantastic.
  6. I was not *super* excited about the show when I went to their headlining set, but my good friend I was with LOVES them. He said they were pretty incredible live, and by the end of the show, I was on his side. One of the ten best shows I saw last year.

Kieran I actually was in the back of the pit, close to the sound-board...he climbed up the sound tent and dove off right into our arms! So you might get lucky anywhere in the room!
  7. Foals are badly overrated, I'd love to see Cage The Elephant on the other hand.
  8. It's a pretty small room so I might! Last night at Foals, Yannis made his way to the bar and started playing up there while leaning down for some shots.

If Foals produce another Holy Fire then they won't be overrated, but I can see why people may place them in that category. Cage the Elephant were fucking nuts, honestly. I had a guy talk to us at the end saying that they stole the show and was going home. Whatever floats your boat.
  9. I think Foals are great on record. I've never had the chance to see them live - actually I did at Lollapalooza, but I think we chose The National instead. I've heard from some people that they aren't super exciting live, but Kieran is convincing me otherwise with that story about Yannis.

I wouldn't pay to see them headline a show, but opening for another band or at a festival? - Count me in.

My next show looks like it'll be Arcade Fire as long as I can sweet-talk my way out of an exam. If not them, then Flogging Molly.
  10. I've seen Foals twice live (both festivals, though, not headlining) and I say what I feel, no more no less.
  11. What we need is a feckin U2 tour asap, I'm now listening to the rest of Achtung Baby and alksjdnlahdslakdjakds
