Imagine: It's March 2009. A 12-or-so-year old kid just starting to get into rock music. He/she's never heard of U2 but the deejay on the radio says "This next one's from U2" - and it's "Get on Your Boots."

Get On Your Boots is a decent song.

You have to be allowed to judge artists quickly, otherwise you'll have to listen to a lot of shit. But if you've judged an artist on one song, you gotta be ready to change your opinion quickly.

Sure Justin Bieber is a decent singer, his voice is annoying though and his music is shit.

Magnificent would have been a better first single!. Would've represented the album better and NLOTH would probably have sold more copies.

Disagree, as much as everyone dislikes it and would refuse to admit it, Crazy Tonight should've been the lead single, for the UK anyway. Our airwaves are dominated by commercial radio stations and Crazy Tonight is the kind of track that would've faired well against today's chart music.

but Crazy didn't much better in terms of sales, did it? .. Boots was still "the best" No line single .. but i might be wrong ( ... i could have sworn i saw a light coming on .. hehe)
