Nah, Apple earphones -specially the ones they made years ago- were sturdier and overally better than most cheap earphones, and the jack connection didn't become loose easily (most usual fault with cheaper earphones), so they have lasted for years and years to many people. That doesn't mean they're good sounding or anything, but credit where credit's due. Enjoy your Panasonics, Jana, and if you ever feel like trying some REAL earphones for not much more than 10€ give some Sennheisers a try
