That's something I'll never understand. Why getting loads ov vinyl albums and singles if you can't play them? Just for the sake of having them? Makes no sense to me. If i choose to buy some music in vinyl format is because I like its sound better than other formats!!

PS. I know that vinyl packagings are absolutely great, I know. But that's a weak reason to invest money on that format if you can't play it
  3. Made in Germany

  4. Thus far, I doubt all of the vinyls I own have stretched above £20 in total. I buy the CD's and immediately put them onto my iPod, perhaps I should just stick to iTunes or whatever? My intentions are to one day acquire some hardware that will play them, until that day comes, I happy to collect them when the price is right.
  5. You know, a decent used turntable isn't very expensive.

  6. When I started buying vinyls, my partner bought me one but it never joined us as we moved to Manchester. It's not at my parent's house and I haven't see it at her parent's house either. I'll ask her if she knows where it is when she gets back. I always assumed it got thrown away or something and not in desperate need for one I didn't bother to ask.
  7. Gonna begin with the videos. I haven't watched quite a few of them, so it'll be nice.

Good to know there still exists some justice in this world
  10. I've just put on the vinyl bootleg titled "Peace Under a Chicago Sky", which contains 6 tracks from the very popular bootleg 1983-03-21: Chicago, IL. Had it for a little over a year now, just never got around to spinning it. I used to have an old second-gen cassette bootleg of the entire show, taped by a friend's dad back in the 80's. Great stuff to listen to.

(Random fun fact: the venue the show was taped at is probably the largest venue in the Chicagoland area that I HAVEN'T ever been to. There are a million small clubs I've never hit, but I've seen shows in almost all of the theaters (minus two....minus only one, after next summer), all of the arenas, all the amphitheaters, and Soldier Field.)

Rearranged my U2 collection again this morning, which is what brought it up. Reminded of how lucky I was to own a Wide Awake in Europe vinyl, which I then listened to (albeit digitally) while I organized everything.
  11. Give me that WAIE vinyl.
