I just import the file, in the bottom part I choose the start and end times that I want to save as a separate song, and once I have the selection, I go to File -> Export Selected Audio. That part will now be saved into a separate song.
I burned the audio from some dvd's so the files are one big track.

I also downloaded Audacity and it does not look newbie friendly.

This is the only thing you need to know Kelli:
In Audacity, choose "File-> Import->Audio", and choose your file with all the songs. A big waveform with your file should appear now. Now find the times where the particular song starts and ends. Say it's from 14:35 to 18:58. Enter those numbers in the "Selection Start" and "End" fields at the bottom. Make sure you stopped playing the song. Once you selected the portion of the song (it should appear darker in the waveform), select "File->Export Selected Audio" and now you can save that part as MP3, FLAC or what have you.
Hope this works. If anyone has a better software/method, feel free to jump in.
  3. This is how I'd do it in Audacity.

Click File > Import > Audio and navigate to your FLAC file. Once Audacity has processed it, you'll see the waveform for the full track. Hit the Space bar and you should hear the file playing back. Navigate to where the first cut should be made by left clicking the mouse in the right spot on the waveform. Hit Ctrl + B and a little marker should appear undeneath the waveform. Type in the file name for this track, "Elevation" for example. Repeat this process at every other place that you require a cut. Once you have set all the markers, head to File > Export multiple. Select your save destination, ensure that 'Split files based on labels' is checked and check your preferred naming convention. Once you click export, you'll see a summary box appear for each track. Check that each one is ok and confirm.
  4. ^ That's way better.
  5. Drag & Drop in Audacity.

I agree with your assessment on youngest to oldest, but if I can rank in terms of who looks best, it'll be:
    1. Edge
    2. Adam
    3. Larry
    4. Bono (the latest pic helps him)

Which is ironic, because in the 80's, it'd be the opposite (with Larry #1).
