1. Oh the albums are fine enough, but I can't get hold of Magnificent without paying through my nose. I should've bought them all when they were released. I travelled miles to get GOYB when it was released and picked up the CD and vinyl for £5. I only managed to get Crazy Tonight last year on CD and it was sealed.

It sounds like you have the middle tier copy of NLOTH. Is it the one with the plastic sleeve that has '=' printed on the front? I bought the standard copy when it was released, then picked up the next tier edition around 2013. What I don't have is the (I believe it was called...) magazine edition.

Yep, that's the edition I have. And Magnificent and Crazy Tonight I have digitally, plus the mixes on the Artificial Horizon vinyl, my one true gem of that era. Having GOYB on vinyl sounds awesome
  3. I was lucky enough to win two of the numbered NLOTH vinyl collection boxes back in 2009, but unfortunately I only ever had GOYB to fill one of them with. I store my other vinyl singles in the other. I will complete the set one day.

You have Artifical Horizon? That is cool. I love the Staring at the Sun remix on there. Such a chilled summer vibe. Made even better by using the live version from Popheart in the mix.

Very cool you managed to get 2...I'm not sure I've ever seen one, I'll have to check those out. Which singles do you own on vinyl?

Artificial Horizon was a Christmas gift last year, which was awesome, I'd wanted it forever. I have is hanging, framed, but I might take it back down because playing it on my turntable is a lot of fun though I did rip it first. I love that Staring at the Sun remix on there, plus the Fish out of Water remix of GOYB. I also love the Falke Radio Mix of Magnificent.
  5. Nice! Yeah, the FoW remix of Boots is so good. I remember hearing that for the first time in one of those U2.com teasers for the 360 Tour (Toronto) and I needed to have it. I love the version with the Soweto Gospel Choir too.

Those NLOTH vinyl boxes were part of a UK promo. You simply had to sign up to be in with a chance of winning. I think the reason I got two was because I wasn't sure my first sign up went through, so I filled the form again. I'm guessing there either wasn't a great deal of interest or I got lucky. It's basically a 7" box for the vinyl singles:

I don't have many singles on vinyl, I think it's just Pride, The Unforgettable Fire, With Or Without You, Angel of Harlem, Desire, and Get On Your Boots. CD singles are still my priority and I'm hoping to add to that collection tomorrow when an eBay listing comes to an end.

    That's awesome!

And a nice collection of vinyl singles. I have WAIA, but without a sleeve, and October. I'd love to get Achtung Baby Uber Deluxe but that's a bit over budget for me. I will get it some day. The clear vinyls are so cool.

And the FoW mixes are great in general. I feel like GOYB was in some World Cup related video I saw, and I loved it.
  7. I think we'd all like an Achtung Baby Uber Deluxe
  8. Haha, that's true. I think Remy bought one, I happened to see that in a topic a while back. For around $2-300 too

The things one can find on Amazon.
  9. He certainly did! As much as I want it, I doubt I could pull the trigger. Besides, I have the super deluxe and that cost more than enough. I wouldn't be able to justify getting the Uber as well.

    I have the standard deluxe

The Uber Deluxe might be something I get eventually, if I can find it at a reasonable price. Or weasel my way into getting it as a gift. Anyway, I think I'm heading to bed now. Take care Tim , it's been a pleasure talking!

(And if you do check out the playlist I made anytime soon, try out some Tonic, if you haven't heard of them. They're awesome)
