1. Plot twist: It was an official camera.

Yeah, if a tripod was used then that's a little too far, besides, how did she get the tripod into the venue?

You'd be surprised how much gear can someone bring into a venue. As long as you don't sneak in a soda can or water bottle so you have to spend a freaking fortune on their drink stalls, they sometimes don't give a damn if you carry a tripod, a videocam or ten.
  3. A tripod is overkill. I can understand a small audio recorder, especially in a small venue, but a tripod?
  4. Do you guys wear earplugs to gigs? I find them annoying because me singing drowns out the music. Then again, I want to listen to music for as long as I possibly can.

    We use these:

  6. If I was a big artist (dream out loud) I wouldn't care if someone was filming the concert, because they paid money to see me, and it's their choice on how they experience the concert.
  7. I don't wear earplugs myself, but I don't go to many concerts. I've never really had any issues apart from Wembley '09 when the sound was reverberating around the upper tier. I thought the ieTour was excellent, I had no ringing in my ears afterwards.
  8. Never wore earplugs to gigs and I go to quite a bit. I'm heading for tinnitus regardless.
  9. Exactly the same here.

I sometimes experience a little buzz/shrillness when I scream loudly at a concert, like my eardrums are saturated both from the outside sound plus the sound of my own scream. Other than that, never experienced ear pain or ringing during/after a show.

I never do, but I can tell you now that I'm middle aged, I can see it starting to take its toll. I always loved it loud, now I'm finding that I need loud to be even louder.
