  2. Celebrating my birthday in Manchester as news of the Manchester Arena bomb broke. The anger is monumental.
    For what reason will this ever stop?

    Theresa May says such attacks "will not break us", but her own life is lived in a bullet-proof bubble, and she evidently does not need to identify any young people today in Manchester morgues. Also, "will not break us" means that the tragedy will not break her, or her policies on immigration. The young people of Manchester are already broken - thanks all the same, Theresa. Sadiq Khan says "London is united with Manchester", but he does not condemn Islamic State - who have claimed responsibility for the bomb. The Queen receives absurd praise for her 'strong words' against the attack, yet she does not cancel today's garden party at Buckingham Palace - for which no criticism is allowed in the Britain of free press. Manchester mayor Andy Burnham says the attack is the work of an "extremist". An extreme what? An extreme rabbit?
    In modern Britain everyone seems petrified to officially say what we all say in private. Politicians tell us they are unafraid, but they are never the victims. How easy to be unafraid when one is protected from the line of fire. The people have no such protections.

    I can't believe people are agreeing with everything he is saying. Some of it is true and relevant, but Sadiq Khan not condemning IS? Crazy.

    He certainly seems to be representing the narrow minded in my view. He's talking about being 'petrified to say what we all say in private' what is he suggesting exactly? I don't think Andy Burnham using the word extremist is innapropriate at all, what else can he describe the man as because he can't be called a Muslim as he doesn't represent the true nature of the religion, of course these people think they are killing in the name of a religion but our press can't be allowed to print that and we can't be dumb enough to fall for it and think it either. I actually feel a sympathy towards Muslims as well right now because they are being falsely judged, people who are of a certain ethnicity are being judged as well whether they are Muslim or not, people are actually stupid enough to think if you are someone from a certain part of the world you can be described as a Muslim just because of how you look. Anyway I think the terrorists attacks do bring people together in a way, like the free taxi rides and accommodation however we also need to cut out these pathetic reactions we see from people who are narrow minded, falling right into the terrorists hands of dividing us.

    Hot air Morrissey. What is he really saying? What are his thoughts (beyond railing against politics) from his little bubble of seclusion? Is also petrified to say what he says in private? He didnt say it here. Sorry, Morrissey. Not sure what your point is, other than maybe making a statement to let us know you're still out there and maybe planning another tour to cancel. Fail.

    You've hit the nail on the head 'making a statement to let us know you're still out there' that's exactly what it is. He's trying to be clever with his criticisms without actually stating what he feels nor doing anything about these things he feels so strongly about except from moan. Ok we're all guilty nowadays of talking a bit more than acting due to the nature of social media but i think most of us can start our angle on yesterday's events with sympathy for the victims and there families and of course if you've got ill feeling towards the person carrying out the act it's understandable to express it but Morrisey doesn't do any of that he's used the opportunity to be political and criticise people's choice of words.

And where are you, Morrissey? Looking down from your little house on the hill? Or down with the citizens of Manchester lending a hand to one another, giving blood and helping their neighbors?     Couldn't agree more, and the people that are lending a hand are the ones that are helping the city pull together , not the likes of Morrisey who hasn't even expressed any sympathy or true emotion let alone do anything to physically help. (I say he hasn't expressed any true emotion because it seems like a calculated statement from him, it doesn't express sadness or even anger it's just a moan).
