1. Matt... if I remember correctly you had that Digitech Grunge pedal, would you recommend it?

This guy and this guy would be good places to start.

Not for anything other than hi-treble, really dirty 90's music. It pretty much does what it's name would imply.

But yeah, if that's what you're going for it was good.

Generally not. I have the DS-1 for distortion and the Bad Monkey for overdrive so I can sort of play around between two different dirty sounds with that. Chorus is chorus, though sometimes I bend down and change that mid-SONG if it sounds off...just a matter of getting it set right.

Only thing that really gets me is delay, since I only have the stomp-box format...thinking about saving up over the summer and getting a TC-Nova- 9 presets and a bunch of other bells and whistles. Looks nice, too.
  5. That MXR Distortion Plus sounds niiiiiiice.

Thinking get some distortion and a nice delay pedal. Covers a lot of early U2 at least.

Yeah, and in all honesty you don't need to spend huge to get a good delay sound. The Digitech stomp I have might only do one setting at a time, but Edge really doesn't do much in terms of huge differences. Just time differences. Tape off the top of the pedal and mark off where you need to hit the knob for each song, and you're fine.
  7. Tap-tempo on a delay pedal is a glorious thing, too. My amp has a built in little effect-rack, and you can tap-tempo for the delay feature...makes for great dleay settings on the fly
  8. Yeah, found it. Shit, you can get a Boss ME-70 for that
  9. Yeah, but eh
  10. Gotta say that Boss GT-10 for 3000 SEK on what I think would be Sweden's answer to craigslist is tempting though.
