1. It's sort of thin. Not too thin, but I'd still like to play it safe. I'm just not going to wear it very often.
  2. Sounds great man, congratulations again!
  3. Anyone around?
  4. I am
  5. How goes it on this fine Winter evening?
  6. It's alright...just sort of laying around with nothing to do. The usual it seems. You?
  7. Pretty much the same. I don't have any classes on Fridays, so I'm just hanging out into the wee hours of the night. I was trying to find Pulp Fiction, because I KNOW it's in my house on DVD somewhere, but I can't find it..somehow that movie has evaded me and I've never seen it.
  8. I managed to luck out and not get classes Monday, Wednesday, OR Friday

You've NEVER seen Pulp Fiction?! Keep searching, man..
  9. Wicked! I don't have them on Mondays, and I get off Wednesdays at 10:30AM. My tuesdays are brutal, but it's worth it. And yeah, I know! The same thing happened with Indiana Jones. I had never seen them until a few weeks ago. Don't think I'm one of those people who doesn't watch movies, because I'm a big movie buff. Somehow a few HUGE movies have just passed me by though...

    So how's the band going?
  10. It's alright, on hiatus for the school year since we all go to difference colleges. Sort of a summer only gig. Winter is gear acquisition time How about you, how are your musical endeavors?
  11. Ah, right on. Mine's been pretty quiet. Two guys left my band at the end of last summer, which sucked, and just recently my buddy and I have been putting up signs around our campus looking for some poeple. We may have found two guys just in the past couple days, which is awesome if it works out.

As far as gear acquisition goes, I'm thinking of picking up an electric drum kit this summer. I have no knowledge on how to play them, but whenever I go into the music store I spend at least an hour playing one of those electric kits, they're so damn fun and it's not super hard to pick up a simple 4/4 beat anyway. It'd be great for home-recordings. All I'd need is a bass after that and I could record complete songs! It'd be awesome. But if this band thing works out with these new guys, I won't need to learn how to play drums anyway
  12. Ah yeah, that would be a great recording tool. Plus broadening your horizons and teaching yourself a new instrument (best you can anyway) never hurt anyone. Hopefully that all works out for you, whether they join you or you get the kit.

What's your practice space like? Just a garage somewhere, or a room? Curious as to how you're swinging it at a university, especially with a drummer that would potentially be transporting his kit.
