  3. Anyone ever seen the TV programme called 'The Thick of It'? It's a masterpiece. Most likely that a Brit would have watched it (Tim?), but it's hilarious.

  5. You need to watch it. It's a comedy series about politics and it involves an angry Scottish man who just shouts at everybody who works in the office. Hilarious.
  6. I was just wondering... Do you native English speakers have trouble understanding other native speakers some time? I find some accents specially hard to understand. I've been listening to lots of interviews lately and I seem to have trouble specially with tight Sheffield-ish -including Manchester- accents (a.k.a. Alex Turner, Arctic Monkeys' frontman, or the Gallagher brothers) and with some fast North American ones. Does it happen to you too?

  8. Oh yeah, I do. I struggle to understand the lead singer of The View because of his strong Dundee accent.
  9. Liverpool, Newcaslte-Upon-Tyne, Birmingham - all strong accents that are difficult ot understand. Oh, Scottish, Welsh and Irish too
  10. Just finished watching the Ana II multicam. Wow!!!!!!!!!! It's amazing. May be the best U2 video I've watched.

  12. On accents: I've only heard Swedish accents I don't understand on television in programs about accents.

    I do have problems with certain English accents as well. Scottish accents are probably the worst (if we don't count India and those places).
