  1. Central-UK seems the ones I srtruggle the most with. Manchester, Birmingham, Sheffield, etc... all are horribly tough for me. I still have to try thick Scottish accents, though, maybe they're even harder. I have an obvious soft spot for the Irish accent so I understand it pretty well
  2. I'm not from Manchester but living here I haven't noticed a particularly strong accent. Maybe it's less noticable to a native speaker.
