1. Hey Olof Yeah I've been busy studying and whatnot so haven't been around as much. Just finishing mocks this week with Irish (finished earlier today), French tomorrow, Biology on Wednesday and then Music on Thursday.

    How's things with you?

what exams are coming up this week?

This question is probably directed to Joe, but I can answer as well. I had a Maths exam today, then I had what was almost an exam in Swedish. Tomorrow we have a national exam in Swedish, on Thursday another one. We also have this presentation in Spanish about an artist... And we have another pretty big presentation in Sociology on Wednesday.

Loads of stuff. And I think there's a little bit of homework in German too.
  3. I had a 2-part 3 hour exam today for English. No exams for 2 weeks, next one is Computing. Ahh, me and exam leave are getting on just fine.
  4. I'd English last week, 6 hours 10 minutes overall in 2 parts.
  5. It was painful.
  6. 6 hours 10 minutes, EH? How the fuck is it that long?

I see you call them 'mocks'. We call them prelims here.
  7. One is 3 hours 20 covering Shakesperean drama (Hamlet in my case), Comparative section (comparing 3 texts; Casablanca, A Dolls House and The Great Gatsby) and then poetry (4 out of 8 assigned poets come up, you do one).

Then paper two is 2 comprehensions and creative writing (speech, short story, personal essay etc). That last 2 hours 50 minutes.
  8. Didn't see your answers Joe.

I'm fine I guess. A bit tired. Trying to make some music every once in a while. Bought a delay pedal a few weeks ago if you didn't know, a Boss DD-20 Gigadelay.

Christ. How well did you think you done?

Our two papers are: close reading (2 passages and you have to answer questions on the sentence structure, word choice, techniques, all that shit...) and then 2 critical essays (where you have to write about books/plays/poems/movies you have studied and talk about it's effectiveness and all that).
  10. Our English was split into two, language and literature. Language was usually an extended piece of writing and a paper on comprehension, which involved reading a few articles and picking out information and writing about it (Three hours usually). The Literature was split into two also, one paper was Shakespere (Macbeth at GCSE and Romeo + Juliet at A-level) and the second paper was poetry. Again, three hours combined.
