I just have it out for the Grammys. I don't support awarding art in a competitive fashion, whether it's tv shows, movies, broadway plays, or whatever, but especially music, just becuase it's what I most relate to. I just think it's a huge farce. It also doesn't help that I think 90% of mainstream music sucks the big one nowadays. So many of the acts go up and they're just trashy and classless, or rather they go up and they can't even perform live. I can't get behind an artist who can't sing live as well as they do on a recording, because it's a fabrication. It means that they weren't signed for their talent. It's a rare thing to actually finish the Grammys saying "wow that was good!" I usually end up with face pains from cringing so much, and neck pains from shaking my head for a few hours straight. Yet, for some reason I tune in, hoping to find some hope. Once in a while there'll be something good on there, maybe about 20 minutes out of the 2 hours or whatever is "decent". Other than that, I find that they're not worth watching at all.
