    Hearing that description, you must listen to him more. He tells incredible stories, and his voice is the perfect voice for that. He's the person who teaches Europe about what the U.S. is like.

    Everything he's put out in the last 10 years (except for most of The Rising) has an incredibly cheesy feel to it.

    70's/80's Bruce is GOLDEN- nothing from that time period touches what the guy sounded like and the stories he could tell, like Olof is saying...but he hasn't done anything spectacular since '02.

    I used to think the same thing. Then I listened to Born to Run, Darkness on the Edge..., and Born in the USA in their entirety, and I was blown away with how good he is. Those albums are amazing. The lesser known songs are fantastic.

    Hmm... I'm going to give him a shot then. I'll line up on of his albums (probably Born to Run) then I'll listen to it sometime this week.

  9. I think I've talked about the White Album somewhere on here before, but this is what makes it great. Individually there are some songs on there that are horrible (Revolution 9, Wild Honey Pie), but when you listen to it as an album, you hear a band that is on the verge of breaking up. They hated each other at that point. Ringo even quit at one point. The reason it's so long because none of them wanted their songs taken out, so they put everything in there. Having said all that, it's #5 on my favorite Beatles albums. But it's still amazing.
  10. Stuff it, after I've listened to Black Sabbath, I'll listen to Born to Run.

  11. You do understand that it's a protest song against the Vietnam war, right? Not a song saying "I'm American, fuck yeah".

    Darkness On The Edge of town is one of the best albums ever. Only one song that's not amazing (Adam Raised A Cain).
  12. I actually like Born in the USA a little bit more than Darkness. I just love Downbound Train and I'm on fire. Its close. But nothing touches Born to Run. One of my top 10 favorites
