1. I think I've talked about the White Album somewhere on here before, but this is what makes it great. Individually there are some songs on there that are horrible (Revolution 9, Wild Honey Pie), but when you listen to it as an album, you hear a band that is on the verge of breaking up. They hated each other at that point. Ringo even quit at one point. The reason it's so long because none of them wanted their songs taken out, so they put everything in there. Having said all that, it's #5 on my favorite Beatles albums. But it's still amazing.
  2. Stuff it, after I've listened to Black Sabbath, I'll listen to Born to Run.

  3. You do understand that it's a protest song against the Vietnam war, right? Not a song saying "I'm American, fuck yeah".

Darkness On The Edge of town is one of the best albums ever. Only one song that's not amazing (Adam Raised A Cain).
  4. I actually like Born in the USA a little bit more than Darkness. I just love Downbound Train and I'm on fire. Its close. But nothing touches Born to Run. One of my top 10 favorites

Adam Raised a Cain is probably one of my 3 favorite songs on that album

Of course I do (mainly because it was on Top Gear's Vietnam Special). I just don't like how repetitive it is; that's the reason why I cannot stand it.
  7. Adam Raised a Cain is probably my least favorite from the album as well.
  8. On Born To Run you have Jungleland.

Matt: Haha. Taste is a bitch.
  9. Olof, you sir, need to get into Led Zeppelin. I'm getting into Bruce, you do the same for Zeppelin

  10. Led Zeppelin is one of those bands that I try to remember when I'm at the record store, so I will. Unfortunately my brain tends to freeze when I'm there trying to remember all the bands I want check out. I hate that. I should write them down on a paper and have it in my wallet.

I really enjoy Jimmy in It Might Get Loud.
  11. Also, I'm gonna defend the Rolling Stones being overrated. There blues/country years in the late 60s/early 70s is so good. Beggar's Banquet, Let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers, and Exile on Main St. is the greatest four album run in history. The Stones doing the blue are better than Zeppelin doing the blues.

My brain always freezes at record stores. That's why I always take my iPod so I know what I'm looking for. Jimmy Page kicks ass. Ultimately kicks ass. He shits over both The Edge and Jack White.

I've just started listening to Born to Run. Review later.

Also, everyone should listen to Black Sabbath's debut album. It's awesome. I used to think that Tony Iommi wasn't that good a guitarist until I listened to 'Warning'. Wow.
