    Oxegen isn't happening this year, but Leeds haven't announced their line-up yet even though that line-up I posted is very realistic. It looks legit.

  2. ^ Not even that, there's always free shows happening usually every night. Call up a few mates, see if they've got some killing time and go forth.

    $3 for two indie bands? Sold! And yeah, why not - might as well. That way, when someone asks you which bands you've seen, these ones don't come close to U2 or others for how big they are, but it shows you used your head and in the end to find some inspiration.

    Kieran - Tenacious D? Sold! And Lana Del Ray, she has that nice video out at the moment which I saw at about 4am the other morning, it's a nice video. Makes me think of the mid-90s conceptual videos. Korn I saw at Nu-Guns and can't say I thought they were much chop, but not bad if you want a sore neck in the morning. Spotted Jack White on there too - I love 'Get Behind Me Satan'.


    And that mofo Skrillex - what is he smoking? It gives me a headache. As for Duran this month, I still haven't found out who the support act is. It's like two weeks away....

    Yeah, apparently Tenacious D are releasing a new album and will tour. Looking forward to it, and lets hope that Dave Grohl plays drums for them! Nah, I won't be seeing Lana Del Rey if she's the same time as Foo Fighters, Soundgarden or Tenacious D. She's bloody hot though. I won't be seeing Korn if Skrillex is there, because he's part of the 'dubstep' genre which is a load of shit. Yep, looking forward to Jack White a lot! Not as much as my friend who is a Jack White fanatic.
  4. Yeah I'm being stupid, Foos did Oxegen like a year or two ago, I don't know why that's in my head. It's early, let's use that as my excuse.

    Lollapalooza SHOULD HAVE LEAKED three of the top 6 by now, as it usually does in late Feb/early March, but something's holding them up. They say full lineup in early April so we'll see. Predictions for the top 6 right now fall into this list- it will almost certainly be 6 picked from these:

    The Black Keys (semi-confirmed)
    Bjork
    Black Sabbath
    Bon Iver
    The Cure
    Florence & the Machine
    Jack White

The holdup on the Lollapalooza leak is making people think that either Black Sabbath is headlining and they can't announce it until they're 100% sure that Iommi's cancer treatment won't interfere and cause a cancellation, OR they're waiting for The Black Keys' Chicago show to happen so that if they're announced for Lolla, people don't scalp their tickets for the arena gig. The show is in like a few days.

    If Tenacious D (still kicking myself I didn't see their show with the FFs last year) were playing during Lana Del Ray, I know who I'd be seeing, and it wouldn't be her; leave her to the kids. Skrillex is just terrible - all of a sudden, all these 'hipster' NME readers in their black skinny jeans are going 'ZOMFG Dubstep is awesome, it's the new rock and roll'. Dude, not even close. Not. Even. Close. Hell, I don't even know what Dubstep was before but it sounds like shit I make on my computer with obnoxious beats and the same synth over and over.

    Hit potential!!!!

    Jack White, he's just incredible. I still need to make my cigar box guitar I watched him build on Youtube. I'd definitely take Black Sabbath over all of them though.

  11. Yeah NME used to care about rock. Now they're like the British Rolling Stone - except more suckier and don't have a rock and roll hall of fame to pretend they have credibility. KISS still aren't in there, it took 40 years for Alice Cooper to get in...Madonna's in there, and she doesn't rock hard.

  12. I really don't know if it is, but it adds up. A lot of those bands are 'to be confirmed': like all the headliners, The Black Keys and stuff. It's also looks as if it is part of a magazine, suggesting that it could be an early print.
