    I don't know what's so great about it, and I don't care. I'd rather watch the whole Lord Of The Rings trilogy (for the hundredth time), and then read the books(for the thousandth time). They never get old. The Hunger Games does.

    The Hunger Games aren't really trying to compare themselves to Lord Of The Rings though, it's impossible to make that type of comparison. LOTR is an epic, it's almost a tale/legend that's hugely detailed with a huge amount of context and backstory that's there if a fan is up to reading it (I'm sure you've read The Silmarillion).

    The Hunger Games are targeted towards teens, and you can tell that by the writing. When reading it I almost wished it was targeted towards adults so the author could put that much more depth into the story, thus demanding more intelligence and maturity from the reader. That being said, it does what it's meant to do, and it's got a kickass story. It's not super original or innovative or unforgettable by any means, but it's good for now and I can enjoy it. On that note, I just got back from the movie (some of my friends are diehards and wanted to go opening night) and it transfered super well to a movie. It almost works better in the span of 2 and a half hours on screen than it does as a book that is (like I said) desperate for some more depth. Perhaps it was good because the screenplay was written (or at least helped written) by the author of the books. Either way, it's a cool series for anyone to check out. You don't even have to invest a lot of time into it, the books are fairly short.

    second: this gives me a slight fear of what a serious, heated discussion between anyone of the band and Larry might be like. I mean, when it really starts to get serious. I don't want to argue with Mr. Mullen, no way
  7. difficult decision today. It is sunny and promises to become a really beautiful warm day.

    I have the choice today of

    a) hurry through work like mad so I can make it to the 18:30 game of S04 vs Leverkusen (being tired, exhausted and stressed but return home late being happy....maybe), or

    b) lazy with work and take my dog on a walk along the breathtaking beautiful lakeside in the afternoon, or

    c) just do work and basically relax at home.

  12. going for a combination of b) and c). just been to the lake with my dog , now continuing work, and around 6pm some friends will come over and we'll spend a girls' eve with BBQ on the patio skipping football tonight certainly won't hurt at all, as I have a ticket for coming Thursday vs Bilbao (Euro League) anyway.
