1. Yeh im going to have to do it bit my bit, recently i have been ripping them as soon as i got home from Uni, but from 2009 till the start of this year i didnt, its just so boring and repetitive haha.
  2. I'm trying to rip everything in lossless.
  3. i starting doing that with my Muse albums last year, but it was taking up to 60MB a song and my i phone was filling up so quickly. Unless you have really good headphones/ speakers i dont think most people can tell the difference.
  4. I convert them to 192 kbit/s for mobile use But on the computer there's room enough to have them in lossless. I play music on pretty damn good speakers from the computer. It's also good to be able to burn CDs for people from lossless files, so that they won't suffer double compression. And of course... it's the way to have good backups if a CD breaks!
  5. 20 mins til Lollapalooza ticket sales, everybody. 20 mins.
  6. Good luck!!!
  7. Thanks Drew! Shouldn't be too big of a problem.

Aerosmith ticket prices just got announced, too- thats the killer. $100 for a good seat anywhere in the house...the only lower ticket price is $60, and that'll put you in the last 5 rows of the arena.
  8. Not with Lolla anyway, right? It's a multi-stage festival so you should be able to score.

Aerosmith tickets already? I've heard numerous rumours they're coming to Australia in 2013 for the new album tour. I have to see Tom Hamilton and Brad Whitford at least once. $100 isn't bad for a good show - do they still sell out arenas and stadiums?

    As quoted:

Bassist Tom Hamilton says, "After touring Japan and South America last year we're psyched about bringing it all back for the hometown fans. We're going to break out the classics, the hits and maybe even some of the new ones we've been banging out in the studio. Can't wait to get to Minneapolis!"

    Oasis In The Night, perhaps?
  9. Oh yeah it'll definitely sell out. They're sort of co-headlining with Cheap Trick, though its obvious Aerosmith is the bigger band. And $100 is pretty average for a big arena show like that, it's just been so long since I've seen something that big the numbers look huge to me.

Its not me paying for the tickets, either- so I shouldn't even be complaining...it's my mom taking me, my brother, and my sister...so its whether or not she wants to spend 400 bucks. That's what I'm worried about.
  10. Anyone know why some CDs import at 5x-ish speeds while most import at 20x-ish speeds?

Is it that some are AIFF and some WAV or something like that?
  11. Scratches, older media, longer tracks?

I know some of my short albums with medium-length songs (10mins and more) will only import at 5x whereas something with shorter songs (4 - 6 mins) goes about 10-15x speed.
