  3. That never happens to me. I never (or very rarely) say "I nailed that exam"... But essays are different stuff. I (We all, I think) can have a great mark in an essay without having the slightest idea

    I'd say essays are harder to judge. There's a lot of ambiguity with the marking scheme etc. Have you put enough information in, have you fully justified points made etc.

    Exams are usually easier to judge afterwards, though what you think isn't necessarily what occurs.

    Exactly, nail on the head. Exams are easier to judge - that's why obtaining high marks is harder for people who doesn't study enough (that includes me) xD

  9. We were never offered Spanish. Shame. Though French and German are pretty good. Forgotten most in my old age however.
  10. I done German and had some old bag of a teacher, which made me hate it. At the time, our year could only do French or German, but we were assigned which one we done. Now the lower years can additionally do Spanish. I wish I was able to do that, I would've probably preferred it.

    Although, I did choose Standard Grade Italian, but there wasn't enough people to run the class.

  12. That's some nice thoughts about my language, Tim and Kieran... But Spanish is harder than most people think. It's one of the hardest languages to be properly learnt (I don't mean having a slight idea or something), only compared to German -excluding the languages with different characters like Russian, Arabic or Chinese of course.

    Nice to know you would have had interest on learning it, though
