1. Fuck offffffffffff haha!

Going to bed now! Anxious for the concert tomorrow, I'm still debating myself between sneaking my recording in (absolutely forbidden as it's copyrighted material since it's the national TV) or not to do it. Aaaahh the Taper Syndrome.

  2. Yeah I really don't like the guy at all and can't stand his music, but there was something about that melody that I liked. Listening to the piano version I realized that its well written, just shamefully executed in the wrong style. Pumping it through a super distorted, cool-effected guitar, it sounds awesome!
  3. Skrillex just sounds like a whole bunch of sounds together to make something. Interesting idea but ultimately irritating at the same time.

Not to mention the fact that he hasn't really mastered any type of instrument in order to make music. I think that's something that's missing from a lot of digital music nowdays. Sure it takes creativity to make music that way, but just about any tech-savvy person can master a computer program in a matter of days. It doesn't take years of dedication and persistance like an instrument does.
  5. Go back a page (or however many) and watch that piano version of his huge song. It's unreal how great it sounds. Shame that great music is being wasted on SHITTY genres.
  6. Today is yet another perfect day to have Pop playing in my ears.
  7. Single

  8. Might do that now and do some study out the back garden. Tis a beaut of a day.
  9. Actually, anybody seen Little Shop of Horrors? I'm doing it as a musical in school at the moment and it's actually really good and I've never heard of it before. If 6th years were allowed be cast for roles I'd have definitely done it. I'm cool with being in the band though

Well that's how I used to do my music, like only with Garageband. Then I got a keyboard and harmonica (well, the harmonica was well before after hearing Stop Messin' Around) and learnt those - so anyone can play instruments if they choose to, with some practice.

But that said, you do need ideas and influence, so it's not really just being tech-savvy as much. I know many a tech-savvy person and they can't put sounds together for shit. Or they can, but not very well. He was a guitarist before, so he knows how to play. He just chooses not to.

Our high school put that on maybeee.....4 years ago now? I can't remember exactly when, but I did remember seeing it and really loving it on the stage. Then again it was all my friends onstage and in the orchestra, so it was really easy to fall into.

Glad you're having a good time with it though
  12. I am preparing a gigantic playlist in iTunes to sync with my new phone when I get it.... I shall have sooooo much music on it
