  1. World War II: The Complete History

    It's alright, mainly an overview of the main events, I think it's American. There's a few that get shown on rotation here on the knowledge channels. 'World War II in HD Colour' is pretty good. Though, there was one on in late 2010 that was brilliant. Can't remember what it was called though, 10 part series.

  5. Intro to Public Relations- PR is my "career path" sort of, right now, so it's important that I do well on this final exam...but I'm not doing well in the class anyway because the instructor is an impossible-to-understand fuck, so whatever.

    Its just so tedious, his exams are also impossible. It's supposed to be an INTRO class, to find out more about the subject etc., and he started the course off by saying "half of you will probably fail. Its just the way I set up the course."

    Fuck. That.
  6. I get what he's doing (I've had it before from teachers / instructors) but it doesn't instil much confidence into those in the course nor does it make you want to really think 'Why should I do well?'

    Fuck him and his ways. Do well to piss him off and show him not everyone is gonna fail. Tedious is worse than difficulty though because you get so bored of it and so annoyed.
  7. Precisely. Also, from taking two of his exams so far this year, I know that no matter what I study the exam questions will look completely foreign. He's Korean, so his English isn't really perfect and he doesn't write sentences that even make grammatical sense sometimes- it makes an exam particularly jarring to get through.

    He focuses far too much on HIS viewpoints and HIS theories as opposed to trying to teach a group what to expect out of the PR field when we move along down that path. I took an Intro to Advertising class last semester, and the instructor was fantastic. Really prepared everyone that wanted to pursue that for what to expect in the field and how to analyze so many different situations. This class is nothing like that. I feel like I have a WORSE concept of what PR actually is than I did before I went in.

  9. I remember you telling me about that lecturer, Matt. Sounds like a nightmare.

    I'm currently revising Geography and my GOD, it is the worst thing I have ever studied in my life. Who wants to learn about farming techniques, limestone, how soil is formed, malaria and all that type of shit? No one. I don't even know why I took the course, I just needed an extra Higher for university. I'm probably going to fail too, because my teachers are crap. So I'm pretty much in your situation Matt, except neither of them are Korean; they just can't teach at all.
