  2. I'm extremely nervous right now. I have an interview with Tesco tomorrow about a possible job.

    Really do not know what to expect.
  3. Bog standard one on one interview? I know Asda do those communal team building things to sort out who's best for them. That's precisely the thing I'd avoid haha. Some knob would end up winding me up and I'd be fired before I'm hired.

    You applied for a shop floor job?
  4. Apparently in Tesco, every manager has a different interviewing technique. So it could just be a personal one on one interview (which I hope for), or one of the group interviews.

    Yeah, on the tills. It would be temporary apparently, but there is a possibility of being kept on.

  8. Yeah, just bypass him completely and use the self checkout making his job completely pointless I only ever use the self checkout in a supermarket, so much faster.
  9. I always use self-service too.

    I wouldn't care if you bypassed me. I'm earning money for me just sitting there in the end.
  10. I love self checkout. They're implementing it in many many supermarkets and general stores lately, and I can't be thankful enough. Moreover, most technology-n00bs out there will choose standard checkout anyway so queues for self-checkout are always smaller or inexistant
  11. They're great. I'm glad that woman is there though otherwise I sometimes think that if it wasn't for her I'd forget to scan my first item, I'd forget to place it in the bagging area, forget to swipe my clubcard/nectar card, forget to insert my card, forget to take my card and most worryingly, forget to take my items.

    First thing I do is turn her off in Tesco, not sure if that's an option in Sainsbury's. Morrisons, do not get me started. I'd rather shoplift.
