    I love that word. Inconspicuous. It reminds me of When The Sun Goes Down (which obviously fits the joke mood, Roxanne and stuff) by Arctic Monkeys. Oh, look here comes a Ford Mondeo // Isn't it mister Inconspicuous?
  6. Apparently you can negotiate hours, but I'm not willing to do that at the moment. I'm only on a temporary contract, although I've been told by my department that I'm likely to keep the job as they are lacking staff.

    I will enquire about changing the Saturday to make it better, but I doubt they will get round to doing it as some managers there are very imcompetent and unorganised.

    I'm doing extremely well, besides the slight pain of the hours. Job is fun, well paid (still haven't received my first salary, though; next Monday 25th!!) and easy to do for someone who's been online-moderating for the last 5 years Oh, and my free day is on Friday, so I after all can meet my friends and go out etc.
  8. Should we continue the discussion over inconspicuous? Not that I've not used it three times in the last hour. It will replace last month's overused word: Beautiful.

    It's a great word, it sounds very....how do I say: inconspicuous'.


    Kieran - good idea for the moment. If you're only as temp, you don't want to mess with the opportunity to say you want something different - or if you are, take it slowly. Sometimes it doesn't work out so well, although if managers are versatile they usually are willing to change it to work for you - otherwise they may not have workers at all.
  9. Yeah, I'm dying for my first pay. I get it every 4 weeks and I think it's the 29th I get paid (the day I go to America).

    You feel like "I just want the money now!"
