1. That's my favourite version of The Fly. If I remember, In Motion by Trent Reznor is what inspired that intro of mine.

Actually, now you mention it, I listened back and it does have a bit of Lounge Fly at the beginning. Probably had been listening to it recently and it seeped its way into the music - although I know that it sounded nothing like that when I started. Most songs don't, most start off as a basic drum pattern and slowly get things added, removed etc.

  2. I know the feeling. I always start playing these games when I have serious work to finish. For instance I've played a couple of games this morning, while I have a report of 3000 words due tomorrow!

You're one of my kind. Hi five
  4. Add me to that list Been playing it now for a hour.... While I really got to write an essay
  5. I've gotten possessed by a song idea.
  6. What sort of song idea? I've finished my two that I was doing.

  7. I'm thinking making a song out of this lyric... but I don't know where it's gonna go... but it's still gonna be about Paranoia. And I think it'll sound trashy.

    Paranoia

Do you feel someone behind you?
Or are there eyes all around you?
That itching feeling at the back of your neck
There's a battle raging for control

    Paranoia
    Give me some more
    Paranoia
    Look out, behind you!

Do you have the feeling that everyone's an actor?
And your life just a giant play?
    They're talking behind your back
Is it just a rehearsal today?

    Paranoia
    Give me some more wonderful
    Paranoia
    Watch your back!

    Dress up like a normal
    They're always watching you
    Don't forget the roots
    Paranoia's all around you

Do you ever the sounds inside your hand?
Is it them talking or another danger lurking?
    It can happen anywhere
There's no place to hide from the powers watching
  8. Set up a drum machine with deep beats like heartbeats at the beginning, put some vinyl scratching (not the scratch type but sort of crackling over it quietly) and then play some reversed and reverbed guitar in places, over some weird spooky synths and one deep piano note to end it out.

Guarantee you something like that will sound awesome.

And some echo-ing claps over hard beats would work wonderfully too, especially if you do some reverb yet again. Then some drum fills like Miami where it goes in backwards each time.
  9. I have an intro already. Worked quite a bit on it.
  10. But how awesome would it be to have just heartbeats at the end for like 10 seconds?
  11. You wanna hear the intro?
