  2. I guess it's not impossible. If the other strings go down in pitch the neck starts bending a little less which could I guess stretch a string that has been so stretched it doesn't go down in pitch from just being there.

    Something like that. Anyway... I think I'll change that string

    I mean that your explanation seems pretty much impossible to me. A string will never go up in pitch; it can stay the same while the others go down in pitch, yes, but that only leads you to think it's gone up (when comparing it to the others). And the effect that neck bending has over pitch is much, much smaller than the string loosening effect.

  8. Yep, Kieran Alanis has some killer songs I have always adored Ironic, and will always do. It's ironic, because it isn't even her best song... But it just gets me. The last verses "It's like 10 thousand spoons when all you need is a knife / It's meeting the man of my dreams, and then meeting his beautiful wife" really touch me

    Apparently the situation she sings about isn't even ironic, but it's ironic because it isn't? Weird. I read it on YouTube, so it could be slightly incorrect.

  12. Maybe neck bend is more of an issue with a ukulele since the neck is not as robust as it is on a guitar. And the strings are tuned to a higher pitch.
