  4. Not much to be honest. In the middle of a job search, so my mind is on that for most of the day. Juggling the responses from companies "Sorry, you're not what we're looking for" or "We'd like to invite you to an interview" or "...". Particularly fond of those who ignore.

    Just eaten and now going to put some music on before I watch the football (soccer). Then I plan on watching the election coverage until the sun rises. To conclude my life story, I...

  5. Just read this quote from a book titled "The Name of the Wind" by Patrick Rothfuss (I've not read the whole book, just two little quotes, and here they are)....some of the most beautiful literature I've come across in awhile. Want to pick up the book, now.

    "'But there's a better way. You show her she is beautiful. You make mirrors of your eyes, prayers of your hands against her body. It is hard, very hard, but when she truly believes you.... Suddenly the story she tells herself in her own head changes. She transforms. She isn't seen as beautiful. She is beautiful, seen.'"

  9. I'm so jealous. So, so jealous. I want my full pedalboard in my room but it just doesn't fit in there at the moment.

    I got my Cry Baby in the mail the other day, so I played with that a bit. It has actually inspired me to write some solos, which is something I rarely do. I write spots for solos, but generally just improvise whatever feels good when we play live. These past couple songs have had solos.

    Perhaps I'll post some of the lyrics in the Songs thread, revive that up a bit.
  10. I'm lining up for a Crybaby next. £60 is very good for one so I'll be getting it soon.
  11. I had a Vox wah that I was really fond of, but it was sort of a pain because it didn't have a DC jack so I had to keep using batteries. The Cry Baby looks a little smoother on my board, I was looking to change the sound, and I walked away $10 richer on the swap. Easy decision.

    Still trying to find that sweet spot within the sweep but it'll happen.
