Very good perfomance and sound worth to have it. I love Vertigo tour and the last leg was amazing with great surprises. Rattle and Hum ´s songs , One tree hill and Windows in the skies were the best of this night with a solid perfomances of the new songs and the classics.

    Highlights:
    City of blinding lights
    Vertigo
    Angel of harlem
    Sometimes you can make...
    One tree hill
    Windows in the skies
    Desire
All i want is you ( i love closing a show)

    Lowlights:
The same of the whole tour....some classics sounded tired

I chose it because I wanted to listen to ASOH and I love a good Bad>October>NYD section! Also, I've always like U2's cover of Knockin' On Heaven's Door.

    Happy listening!!!!!!

    Great choice !
    I love the UF tour ( i love all U2´s tours )
  3. I remember Pato chose a Lovetown show, Sydney perhaps, that had a killer performance of Knockin' On Heaven's Door. I hope that this slightly younger Bono can deliver an equally brilliant performance.

Massive highlight of that Lovetown show it was.
  4. Quick request:

When you submit a review, as well as posting it to the review section of the show page, would it possible to take a few moments to also submit the songs you thought stood out to the 'Best Live Performances' section? To do this, simply head to the setlist for the show, click the song you thought was great, then scroll down to where it says 'contribute now' on the right hand side of the song page. The date will already be filled in so it should take no more than 5 minutes. You can only submit 5 tracks per show.

It doesn't matter if you forget, I'm not sure how many people use that part of the site, but every little helps.
  5. Oops a little to late....

Performance: well i have to admit that i never heard one of the japanese shows of Vertigo tour before . What a shame....It's so different with al the other shows of the tour...just like during the Lovetown tour in Japan every night a different set...
I think it is a very strong concert. The band Play very good also the new song Windows in the sky. And i love the great setlist....Bono's Voice is great
There are not a lot of HTDAAB songs in the show

Sound: the sound is very clear to me

Audience: you can barely hear them only that anoying lady on the background sometimes

Overall : very good show to listen to if you want to hear something different of the Vertigo tour

    Performance : 5
    Sound : 4.5
    Audience: 3.5
    Overall: 4.5

    Hightlights : the amazing setlist

  12. Performance - 5 Stars

A very energetic clean performance from U2 in Chicago. The set is a strong UF standard set with some lovely little snippets and chat from Bono.

11 O'Clock Tick Tock for me is a great opener to a gig. It's a slow start but the end of the song really starts to pump up the energy, which leads really well into IWF. Seconds is good too.

I love the way that U2 used to play MLK this early in a set. It really is unusual and I think it suits them as a band. Maybe they should try it again(?). UF is excellent and Wire is superb, especially Bono's acapella at the end. I think I've heard SBS too many times to get excited about it nowadays, but Electric Co is excellent, especially with the extended middle 8.

Now we get to the section of the show I was really interested in! ASOH is really, really, very good. It's close to Wide Awake In America standards. And a 10 minute version of Bad is nothing but excellent at any point. I have always loved the Bad>October>NYD sequence, and this is really superb here.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Pride could be dropped from a great height for me. But the encore is brilliant. KOHD is one of the best covers that U2 have ever done and this version is good. Gloria is energietic and "40" brings the show to a wonderful close.

One of the best UF shows I've heard.

    Audience - 4.5 stars

They were singing along and cheering and seemed to be enjoying the show.

    Sound - 4 stars

The sound is very good considering the age of the boot, but it loses a star because there is quite a bit of editing and also some 'skipping', especially in the middle of SBS.

    Overall - 4.5 stars

As a boot, it loses half a star for the sound, but if you want a UF show, go for this one. It is really really good.

    Highlights:
    -Bad>October>NYD
    -ASOH
    -Electric Co.
    -Wire
    -Knockin' on Heaven's Door
    -"40"

    lowlights
-I'd have to be really picky to a have a lowlight, so none!
