Believe it or not, I've thought of this topic for quite a long time. Not this particular girl from the Hattem concert, but the girls that Bono brought on stage during the 80s and the 90s. Were they hard die fans or just wonderful girls and Bono wanted to dance with them? Would they remember and like U2 after the years?
I once read a review comment a 1983 show (maybe Tokyo, can't remember for sure) by a girl who was also a journalist. She was brought onstage by Bono and danced with him. She said that she stopped being a fan few time later and hasn't followed them ever since (the comment was written in 2005 or 2006). Just an example. I mean, being brought onstage by Bono would be the obvious happiest moment of my life, but that's because U2 mean a lot to me; what if I wasn't that much of a fan? What a sad moment... Dancing on stage with a guy from a band that I don't really love, while thousands of other girls/boys would die for being in that position... So sad.
