1. Daft Punk's album has leaked. Listening to it now, wonder if they could live up to the hype that is created around the album.

Bedankt Bart, there goes my night's rest.

edit: Listening to it right now.
First two tracks were OK. The first one, Give Life Back to Music, is a bit like Get Lucky. The second, The Game of Love, gets a bit boring and is way too long in my opinion. The same applies to Within (#4) and Instant Crush (#6): you won't find the Daft Punk energy in there... Giorgio by Moroder (#3) is a greaaaaaat song and should have opened the album.
  3. The National's new album is incredible!!! My album of the year this far

Yeah Giorgio By Moroder is the best song on the album imo, Touch is also great. What I read elsewhere is that the last couple of songs are great. Instant Crush is nice too imo.

But since I'm tired I will listen to them tomorrow.

After that its time for the new The National album.
  5. Why doesn't Lose Yourself to Dance last forever? Very cool song. Touch is totally different and reminds me of 'My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy'.

    Finally! Listening now.
  7. After I listened to it in full today I can say I'm a bit disapointed. Get Lucky, Giorgio By Moroder and Contact are great. There are some other songs on there that are fun (Lose Yourself To Dance for example), but it isn't a ''classic'' album imo.

I'm listening to Momentum now. What did your dad think of the show in Madrid? Hopefully I will get the chance to see him as part of the album tour.

My parents don't attend much concerts anymore so their appreciation might have been a little higher than the real thing - but they were basically amazed. I know the guy is highly regarded everywhere, but I'm not sure how good a lot of his material shall translate to a live performance - but I guess it should be more than fine judging by his immense success.
  10. I've only heard bits and pieces of his live sets, no bootlegs or anything. From what I hear, he comes across really well. Theres a few live tracks on the deluxe version of Momentum, more of a studio session than to an audience and his interpretation of Pure Imagination is great. If he was to perform Mysterious Ways at my show, I'd die. Forget his own material
  11. Wait, does he perform MW?
  12. Lol, he has done. I don't know what the occasion was, I just stumbled across it on YouTube a while ago. He's no stranger to the cover though, having released songs as up-to-date as High and Dry, and Don't Stop The Music amongst other classic songs. Anyway, the new album is pretty damn good, so I'd happily settle for a night of just that.
