1. Anyone else watching the Aussie Open?

  2. Yes , Roger won over Del Potro and Nadal is playing now and winning 2-1 sets over Berdych

I dont like both results ....
  3. the first time I was in Dublin in 2007, the city was crowded with people in jerseys heading for Croke Park. I asked one guy: "which football teams are playing?" -- he looked at me almost insulted, replying: "it's not football, it's hurling !!!" and off he walked, leaving a dumb tourist behind

Hurling, everyone. the most fascinating sport I've ever seen, nothing's faster than this never gets boring when you watch it

  4. Today's the big day, Americans!!!!

  5. As a Bills fan I'm glad that the Patriots lost, even if it was eerily reminiscent of our loss to the Giants in the 1990...
  6. I'm a Saints fan, so I wasn't supporting any of the teams. I just wanted to watch a great game and well...It was awesome!

I left Dublin with the bitter feeling of not having been able to attend a match, even a regular city-to-city one... We did the Croke Park tour and saw all the t-shirts of the different Ireland teams on the dressing rooms and all... And we saw lots of videos of finals and epic moments... Well, next time I'm in Dublin for a few days (not counting the April trip) I'll make sure that I attend at least one match
  8. Any Americans watching the Bulls vs. Celtics on TNT?

Really hoping my hometown Bulls pull off a win, but against the Celtics and without Rose in the mix, it doesn't seem likely.
  9. Any baseball fans out there? (not likely)

Too bad about catching-great Gary Carter (died of cancer). He was one of my idols growing up...before I got into U2.
  10. I'm a loyal Cubs fan. And yes, I happened to catch that on Sportscenter during dinner.
  11. Very sad about Gary Carter. It seemed like everyone loved him.

Speaking of the Cubs, I'm actually headed up to Chicago with some friends in a few months, and we already have tickets to Wrigley. I'm not a Cubs fan, but that is one place I have always wanted to see a game.
