Has anyone on U2Start ever met one of the U2 guys and how did it go?
I used to be mates with a guy who used to go over to Ireland and meet them and get his stuff signed and he remarked that Bono was always happy to put aside whatever he was up to for a chat and photo etc,he also remarked that Larry came across as being very grumpy but he always stopped his car for autographs/photos.
I met Bono away back in 86 after self aid concert, signed a record sleeve i had stashed in the car he was very pleasant. was all over in a matter of minutes but has lived with me i have to say i was a bit star struck but did offer for him to come to tea when ever in Scotland...still waiting.
got within 5 feet of the edge at hampden 2009 but wasn't quick enough to jump on him and vanished into the stadium, felt sick after it and was gutted as its always been a dream of mine to meet him.
