    Indeed, I agree. Not a bad song. I also agree with The Refugee: it's U2, but it has a feel of a Bono-song.

    If we think of other tracks for movies, this may be one of the nicest - or more radio-friendly at least - since Miss Sarajevo (which isn't particularly radio-friendly, but is certainly a really good song).
  3. It is a great radio pop song. Nice melody, sounds good. A good song, but it won't become my favorite I guess
  4. Bono's voice sounds a bit forced and strained to me.

    Larry's "drums" sound like a flat drum machine.

    Hands that built America is a superior song IMO. Same goes for Ground Beneath Her Feet. Both have some passion.

    I dont hear that on this tune, and the lyrics are juvenile to boot.
  5. Pretty standard song! Good for radio, no? Great Adam, great chorus. Fine lyrics. Expected a bit more form Edge. Not gonna say anything about Larry...
  6. I can't really tell why you'd think Larry is mediocre on the song. I mean, he has never been the most imaginative drummer out there... I like him a lot on the second half of the song, first is a bit dull I'll agree.

    The NLOTH cover and lyrics like "I know a girl, whose like the sea", Every Breaking Wave, which is all about the sea, now Ordinary Love's first lines are about the sea aswell....

  8. So I love this song. No surprise since it does sound similar to ATYCLB era U2. I also loved the lyrics. Definitely very Bono, but that's what we all needed to hear. The chorus is also one of the most beautifully thought out lyrics I've heard.

    Miles better than Coldplay's recent soundtrack effort btw.....

  11. You're right about this making a good single I think. It's the sort of song that appeals to the fans and the masses. I think it would go down very well on the radio. I've listened to it a few more times today and I can only really agree with myself and the majority of you all. It's really, really good. I love this new song, and that makes me exceptionally happy.

    You're right. If Atlas can get airplay, Ordinary Love can get it too.
