1. OL: on u2.com as download for members!
    No "Breathe"...
  2. Breathe is interesting.
But the original can not be beat.
  3. not the Breathe version I was hoping for
  4. I am not a big fan of Ordinary Love, but one thing is true: it surely pleases casual fans and brings attention to the band. My dad and my bestfriend loved it. my ex even sent me a message to tell me how much she liked it...

Well Victor, that last line should raise some alerts, you know?
  6. "We can't fall any further if, we can't feel, ordinary love.." etc. etc.
  7. One thing I'm getting from the download that I didn't initially notice in the lyric video (maybe because I'm listening with a proper sound system now) is how effective Adam's bass work is here. It surrounds you and pulls you into the song.
  8. Yeah, Adam really owns the song at some parts. I'm really looking forward to see them perform it live, I'm curious as to how will/would they approach it. Full band? With or without all the background synth stuff? Acoustic?

I can see this coming together really well acoustically. Or at least semi-acoustically. The lyrics sound like they could work really well in an acoustic setting.

But I also hope they go with a full band option. It'll give Edge a chance to really let loose during that guitar solo.
  10. "The Edge" and "Loose up" are not terms that work well together He hasn't improvised for years, I don't think he'd start doing it now. But I can see where you're coming from, I agree.
  11. Just listening to Breathe now...its different but U2 have experimented before..reinvented songs as they worked on different ideas.....pity they didnt put a few more songs onto it....the version of this is and sunday bloody sunday would have fit in nicely
  12. Yeah I've gotten the same feeling from Ordinary Love, all the casuals I know have liked/loved it calling it "fresh" and "majestic." Whereas last time I was laughed right out of town with Boots LOL
