1. I think the new/full version is slightly better.
  2. I heard Invisible last night while at Boston Pizza. I think they play satellite radio and it must have been a two for one type deal because One came on after.
  3. Invisible is a better then vertigo or get on your boots. It is a great single and will be on the playlist for sure. Get rid of Elevation PLEASE!!!
  4. The hidden track thing was cool back in 1991 when Nirvana was the first major act to do it. A few other somewhat major acts did it first. I think The Fixx may have done it before Nirvana, but The Fixx never quite got that big. I used to make fun of Prince for putting hidden tracks on albums, as by the time he got around to it in 1998, it was an old fad. Like someone else said, it's a pain to skip to the song you want. Yes, I can extract the track, and do whatever I want, but it's a lame stupid idea. I guess I should be glad we got Invisible, but it's still stupid to be lame enough to think you've got some groundbreaking idea...it's been done. It's like coming up with a Zombie or Vampire story...old news.

Who said it was groundbreaking? You care about this way too much.

When did U2 claim that this was a groundbreaking idea? It was literally probably just:
"Why don't we just throw Invisible in there for shits and giggles?"

    "Sure"

    "Done"

It's a bonus CD for crying out loud. I still think it's a nice touch regardless.

  8. Hey, we all can have opinions. I didn't make mine clear. It seems, and I'm just saying "seems," that when bands put a "hidden track" they SEEM to be thinking it's some awesome thing...when it's a tired played out boring trick that makes it harder to enjoy the music. Just put normal track divisions so you can easily choose the song you want. Don't get me started on the acoustic sessions...no track divisions....really?

And as far as being a bonus disc? Obviously , the first disc was free for the world, so I really paid $16 for one disc...not a major crime...U2 deserves my money for all the joy they have given me, but since the people who gave them a great life and spent the most money on them are the ones buying the deluxe version...they could have made it convenient to enjoy the "bonus" disc.

    I'm not saying it's an epic fail...but it's still a bit bothersome, that's all.

This way you can't liston to invisible without listening too Sleep Baby.

I like both versions ...but the one they have already played live was great

  10. With iTunes you actually can: I made a copy, renamed it Invisible, and gave the command to always start 1'' before Invisible begins.

I've actually done worse: I've replaced California with Invisible, and the result is stunning. And I've added the two new songs between Cedarwood Road and Sleep like a baby.

The album is now a really bomb. It is simply awesome.

In short: Invisible's a great track; California sucks.

So yeah, I gave up after 5 weeks or so -- but I'm skipping just one song, and we've got 3 better songs to replace it with. So still very well done, boys

hahaha nice to see so much California hate Yeah, the album is really good when replacing and modifying some small things. They've done great. I still stand by my alternate tracklist though, keeping California but in its acoustic form.
  12. I like California a lot

I think it'll be a fantastic live track. Let those synths in the chorus wash over you.
