It has clear connotations with the Boy cover.

I'll await the barrage of twitter users lambasting is as 'gay'.

    Aaron is 19.

The concept is brilliant but there will be a shitload of critics and discredit.

I was just going to post it.

On the other hand, I think Invisible will be part of the acoustic session.

  3. Yes thats another possibility. Hopefully the not-edited version will ever face up. I really like the song to be honest.
  4. I do think the new album cover is an artistic style photo (if this is really the new album cover), but I also do think its just a little too controversial.. I know U2 throughout their career have cause some controversy with some of their songs and off-stage stuff, but the younger generation might not understand this album cover and that this is Larry´s son.
I am not sure how many people out there hug their son in such a fashion.
We all know that Larry is one of the more serious guys in the band, so he must
have a very good reason for such a photograph. Right?
I really do not know what to make of it myself.

Perhaps something like this image I am posting, I would be more comfortable
to look at as an album cover.

Or perhaps bring back the same kid from the first album and photograph his face
and show him how he looks like after all these years since the "Boy" album.
A grown up and aged man, which is exactly what has happened to the U2 band. They have all grown up from being a punk kids band from the north-side of Dublin to become a famous band and citizens of the world. A little more aged and a little more wiser.
  5. Reminds me of The Prodigal Son...

LOL. That reminded me of the Godfather III ending.

    Ooh, I like your cover...

I'm not sure what to make of the Larry one myself ... I do like it (more now than when it first surfaced), but there is something just a bit weird about it that would probably stir up at least a little controversy...

At any rate, the music on this album is great and whatever cover they put on it, it's easily one of my favourite albums ever.
  9. Yes, indeed.
All it really matters is the MUSIC. The songs by themselves and lyrics.
This is an exceptional album and its well recorded.
I am a long time fan of U2, but I have only listened to this new album a few times since it came out on the web. . All I needed was a second listen to know this was a great album.
The melodies linger in the mind for a long time after you stop listening to the song, so its a great thing.

Whatever album cover they come out with does not really matter.
    What matters is the MUSIC

    Your avatar is awesome.
  11. It is from a wallpaper I created along time ago.
I will post back up my old wallpapers soon, with some new goodies
    for everyone.

    Yeah, I agree... for us.
But the general audience will see a store shelf full of jewel cases with a doubtful cover art from a band which is no longer cool and will ignore (or despise) the album.
