I think he just meant "loaded with guitar sounds", not that the riffs should be heavy and explosive...
  2. 16 songs...mabye they will use iHeart to road test some songs, and see how they sound live, in order to make their choice about which 12 will end up on the album.

    Lets hope so!

Would be cool, but definitely not their style. They know better what we want, so they are not about to let us choose...

Hope to hear one new song, and indeed the band know what they want.

They may do one or 2, but I wouldn't think they'd use the iheartradio festival as a platform to experiment... too vanilla. They'll give the people what they want.
  7. Is there gonna be official video stream or something?
    upd: sorry, wrong topic
  8. +1, which I can agree with.
  9. Some SOE rumours coming from Brian vía our friend Greg Janin:

    - U2 l an prochain ( Avril / Mai ) , le Mr est resté évasif...
    - Album pas tout à fait fini....

Not sounding nice, but please someone proficient at French translate... my small knowledge of the language plus por Google translate help aint working out!

We knew from Bono that the album isn't ready. In that case, a tour starting earlier than Q2 next year is unlikely anyway.

LOL. Google translate: "U2 the next year (April / May), the Mr was evasive ..."

Reminds me of a Monty Python skit...
  12. I really wish artists would just release everything. Not just U2. Some do put out a lot on those "Deluxe Versions." I think the regular cd should always be whatever they want it to be, and then tack on some bonus tracks to fill up the cd to at least 65-79 minutes or so. Then the deluxe version can have another filled up cd. Nice to throw some toast at the fans, even if it is burned with weaker songs, fragmented demos, or bad ideas. It paints a better picture of the journey the album was to begin with. I know my songwriting will never likely escape to matter to anyone other than me, but if it had, I have no problem releasing my garbage. "Meatloaf From Hell," may be a horrible song, but somebody could get a laugh from it. Ok, probably not. "Crystal Ballroom"(Megaphone Mix) Anyone?
