CONFIRMED: U2 WORKING ON NEW SONGS WITH PRODUCER JOLYON THOMAS
Also working with Andy Barlow of electronic group Lamb.
@U2, May 10, 2015

A spokesperson for producer Jolyon Thomas has confirmed to @U2 that Thomas has been working with U2 on new songs while the band is doing tour rehearsals in Vancouver.
Thomas' name came up last week in a New York Times podcast conversation between Ben Ratliff and Jon Pareles, who wrote the Times' lengthy pre-tour article about 10 days ago. Pareles had mentioned in the article that Lamb's Andy Barlow is one of a few producers U2 is working with in Vancouver, and on the podcast he also mentioned Jolyon Thomas. A Thomas spokesperson confirmed that by e-mail early this morning.
Thomas has worked with Gavin Friday (on his Catholic album), along with Maps, Annie Eve, Daughter and others.
In Pareles' article, and again on The Tonight Show this past Friday, it was confirmed that U2 has been working on new material for Songs Of Experience while in Vancouver for tour rehearsals.
