  4. I don't know who's that other than the preacher talking between GOO and AS.

    I like the speech as a bridge between both songs, or as an intro to American Soul, but I think it sounds too weird as an encore to Goo. So I think it'll sound awkward if/when you break both songs apart and listen to them separately.

    As for him being who he is, they could've just grabbed anyone from the street to make the speech, I don't think it matters much unless you know who he is beforehand.

    Well, he's a pretty well-known hip hop artist. Prrrrretty well known

    But yeah, I agree. I wasn't so much asking about what you thought that it was him who was doing it, but the talking/rapping in general.

    Personally I'm not a huge fan, only because I've never been big on other artists showing up on each other's work, unless it's some kind of one-off song or whatever. It takes me out of it.


    As someone who listens to a lot of rap and pop, features are always welcome and expected.

  11. yeah it's weird... it looks like almost every song in pop and poppy hiphop scene is featuring some other artist... really weird. Probanly just moneymaking because it will buy fans of both "artists"...
  12. I’m liking the sequence of songs we have Best Thing, GOOYOW, and American soul. Whilst I rate Best Thing and America soul as the weakest we’ve heard as stand alone songs when it all comes together it works for me including the Kendrick Lamar bit. I’d probably give both Best Thing and American Soul an extra notch in fact, I already really liked GOOYOW so don’t need to adjust my opinion of that.
